Is 100ss safe on stone?
Yes! 100ss is not only safe on stone, but it is specifically formulated to be pH neutral which means it is safe for ALL stone products. Granite, travertine, marble, soapstone, quartz, slate, limestone, sandstone, flagstone, and more can all be safely cleaned with 100ss.
Is 100ss safe to use on walls or painted surfaces?
100ss is safe enough to use on even the most delicate stone surfaces, and will not harm any paint, finish or seal. However, we tell our customers that 100ss can be used on any hard surface that is water safe. If your painted walls or floorboards can be safely cleaned with water… You can use 100ss on it!
Can I clean my floor with 100ss before resealing it?
Yes. 100ss is the perfect product to use on your floor to remove all dirt before resealing it. After cleaning the floor with 100ss, you must rinse the floor and let it completely dry before resealing it.
Do I need to rinse the floor after mopping with 100ss?
No! 100ss was designed to not only give you a cleaner floor but also to save you time in doing so. You DO NOT need to rinse the floor after mopping unless you plan to reseal your floor. Otherwise, just mop and let dry.
How long will a bottle of 100ss last?
A quart of 100ss will make 16 gallons of ready to use cleaning solution. A gallon of 100ss will make 65 gallons of cleaning solution. Depending on the size of your floor and how often you mop, a gallon of 100ss lasts a typical family about a year.
Can 100ss be used on all floor types?
100ss can be used on all porcelain, ceramic and clay tiles as well as on all stone floor surfaces whether natural or synthetic. If you have LVT(luxury vinyl tile), it is recommended you check with the manufacturer to see which products can be safely used on their floor. If they recommend a pH neutral cleaner-then 100ss can be used!
How do I dilute 100ss?
Simply add 2oz of 100ss to a gallon of water and you’re ready to clean! If you are making a spray bottle of solution to use around your home or facility, add .5 ounces of 100ss to a 32oz spray bottle. 1 quart of 100ss will make 16 gallons of cleaning solution…. that’s 64 spray bottles you can make out of 1 quart of 100ss.
Can 100ss be used to clean exterior floors?
You bet! 100ss can be used to spray down, mop, scrub or power wash common exterior surfaces like brick, flagstone, epoxy, concrete, pavers and more.
What is the difference between the original and natural 100ss formulas?
100ss is the original formula, developed almost 40 years ago. We know this formula to be the very best product available to safely care for any water-safe hard surface. Simply put, it is a very strong cleaner that works amazingly well! Recently, the State of California began requiring a warning for products that contain certain ingredients. The original formula of 100ss contains a chemical that requires a warning to consumers in the state of California only. A full list of ingredients can be found on every bottle of 100ss.
100ss Natural is free from any ingredients that require any special labeling, other than just safe handling instructions. It is made with more natural ingredients, is 94% biodegradable, and comes in packaging that is made with 25% post-consumer material.
